Even now as our heroes pool their resources together, the dark forces conspire to wage an unrelenting war of horrors on not only the sinister Galactic Empire, but an entire unsuspecting galaxy and all it’s peoples whether our heroes can be ready to stop them or not…

They Who Remain

As the late summer sun set on the Dantooine horizon, the settlement of Ecumenopolis still smoldered in the aftermath of the horrific attack by the sinister forces of Outlander.

In the broken shell of what was once the glorious Upper City Gem cantina hotel and casino, the Executive Committee met for the first time in several long months to discuss what just to do next. More than a thousand citizens of the settlement, women and children, and hundreds of Wookies from the nearby Nng-Muarga Kashyyyk village and hundreds more Kiwa from the Dantari village had been kidnapped in the attack that began the night before, including the party’s new ally Thrax’s companion and friend Zeetra, as well as their employer, the most important man in the settlment, The Tarisian, and likely claimed the life of the party’s leader, the Mandalorian Aidan Dyre and the mentor to the party’s force using students The Wise Old One.

Around the executive table were sat the committee members, Orn the head of security and the local police force. Traz, the master shipwright and head of the starport Bukah Hozard, the Duros spacer and head of the Danto-Xpress, the Tarisian’s private merchant fleet in charge of all the goods coming in and out of the settlement, Cade Starbreaker, the head of the local Rabid Rancors, the settlement’s very own swoop gang and private army for hire, the Wookie village Chieftan Granzawaroo settlement, Krith Nosix, the best slicer in all the Outer Rim Territories, Rarmn Marnogryph, the Snivian holo-theatre owner and head of the local merchants assembly, Morux, the burly four armed Besalisk owner of the settlement’s factory and assembly plant, Krassk and Tal-Got, the Trandoshan speeder and swoop dealers, the mysterious IG-24-C, the Lancer Droid turned arms and armour dealer on the settlement, and lastly Miss M’Row, the Tarisian’s personal secretary, who now sat in place of her friend and employer. The committee was joined this time by a guest as well, Kiwa Ro Bordup, the representative of the Kiwa his village and the allied Kiwa Confederacy.

First the committee discussed the humanitarian situation, and agreed that by pooling the money the committee had on hand they could purchase enough food and medicine from nearby farms and offworld to sustain the settlement in the near term, though with the mining operation offline there would be no new money coming into the settlement, putting it’s existence at risk.

Next the committee discussed what to do about Outlander, and what their options were. It was agreed that for the sake of their families and friends, a rescue attempt had to be mounted. Cade Starbreaker pledged fifty of his Rabid Rancors, Granzawaroo pledged three-hundred-and-fifty Wookies, sixty-five of Aidan’s Mandalorian mercenaries plus fifty-five Mandalorians formerly under the command of Dar’Manda Arpat who now swore allegiance to Aidan Dyre’s cause under the command of Aidan’s good friend Shad Raal, fifty Stormtroopers of the Howling 99 under the command of Captain Ghat, a full starfighter squadron lead by Akira’s newly acquired mysterious Tiroin Fighter, and lastly fifteen freight bearing starships of the Danto-Xpress. Though it was a sizable force, the party knew that more would be needed if they had any hope of taking the fight to Outlander.

Those Left Behind

Following the meeting a funeral service was held in the Wookie village of Nng-Muarga Kashyyyk for the fallen heroes Kalko the Colossal and Aidan Dyre. After Akira gave heartfelt speeches about Kalko’s fearlessness and constant heartfelt honesty in the face of adversity, and Aidan’s tireless bravery in the pursuit of Mandalorian honor, the massive trees where Kalko’s remains and Aidan’s black and gold helmet were placed atop was set aflame by Aidan’s and Kalko’s respective Wookie life pledges Baccitcuk and Quaggo, and left to burn by those who mourned.

Those Who Were Forgotten

Before the party could seek out new allies in their plan to attack the forces of Outlander in the base in the Deep Core, the Jedi holocron that was Nyla’s Remote Droid informed Nyla and Akira that it was time to face the final test before their training could be complete, something known only as the Factory.

After boarding the Emerald Eye and following the holocron’s directions, the party was lead to a massive and sprawling ruin of a factory in the deep southern pole of Dantooine. Strangely and disturbingly, a massive ice sheet had split itself in half around the factory, as if a dark force within the factory was strong enough to keep the ice sheet from overrunning it.

After landing nearby the party, Akira Ben-Toshi, Nyla Hawklight, the twin sisters and respective students Elsae and Eldewn Sarvool, along with their new ally Thrax ventured into the factory. Inside were the ruins of started but never finished starships with Hutteese markings on them, which Akira dated to more than a thousand years old.

After exploring the lower subteranian levels of the factory the party discovered thousands of mumified bodies of alien workers strung up on chains handing from a hundred foot high ceiling. Though too much time had passed to know what had happened, the party agreed that whatever had transpired, a dark and sinister shadow remained, even after a thousand years.

Though the party stayed together, they soon found themselves alone and isolated by a strange act of the dark side of the Force. Akira saw the image of his newborn son, deformed by the dark side of the Force, and his loving fiance Dyneh Lonin mocking Akira for a lifetime of failiure and quitting on himself and those who trusted him. Akira however knew this was only a vision and not real, and resisted the stinging pain of what the vision said.

Nyla was confronted by a vision of Eldewn, herself twisted and broken by the dark side, blaming her master for being weak and unready to take on a student, dooming them both to a life of darkness and despair. Like Akira however Nyla knew this vision was only that, a vision, and resisted the guilt and despair the sad sight brought.

Thrax was confronted by a dark shadow, who told him that though he may pretend to walk the path of the light today, he would one day soon fall back into darkness, and that his fall to the dark side this time would be inevitable. Thrax didn’t dignify the dark vision with a response, and after a moment all members of the party were together again, having survived their tests of the dark side.

Nyla and Akira suspected that the twins themselves had had visions as well, but the Jedi holocron upon their arrival back at their ship told them not to ask the twins about them, because whatever was seen inside the depths of the factory was meant only for the person who saw it, and no one else.

Those By Their Side

After returning from the factory to Ecumenopolis early the next morning, the party set about recruiting as much help as they could for their expedition into the Deep Core.

Akira first contacted Owen Tobt, an Imperial Center based detective in the service of the Galactic Empire whom he shared a past with and told him everything they knew about Outlander and their plot to weaponize massive asteroids in the Deep Core. Tobt believed Akira, but warned him that letting Imperial intelligence know about the threat in a timely manner may be difficult if not impossible without revealing how he came about the information. He promised to try to help, but told Akira that if the threat he described was real he would be wise to tackle it himself, which Akira promised to do.

The Quarren crimelord Horrat refused to hear Akira’s plea, but the Aqualish underground resistance leader Chuda Mobabbo pledged hundreds of men and transports in exchange for ten million credits of Akira’s money.

Through the spy Uhnri who Akira had met in the Tapani Sector, Akira was put in charge with Theux Paddox, the Tapani noble of a once proud but now defeated House, who pledged what little remained of his defeated House’s fleet to the cause of defeating Outlander. Uhnri also used her spynet connections to provide two-thousand-and-five-hundred skilled crew to man the Ellison’s Fury for the operation, in exchange for twenty-million credits of the party’s money.

With Dyneh Lonnin’s help Akira was able to get in touch with her former employer and friend Jakkar Qin of Corellia. After making their plea to Qin, he disapeared offline for a moment, only to return with a formidable figure on splitscreen, the Imperial senator from Corellia Garm Bel Iblis. The senator told Akira that he and Mr. Qin could provide a secret force of loyal Corellian privateers, a force comprised of sixty ships for this mission as well as a staging area inside Corellian space.

He warned Akira and the party however that if the party were to fail in this endeavour, that he may not be able to protect them despite his best efforts. The party thanked Qin and Bel Iblis, and after Tyrnia Masak agreed to bring her old friends the Perlemian Sirens into the operation, the party was confident that they had raised as large a force in as little time as was possible.

Within fourty-eight hours the friendly and allied forces had gathered on Dantooine, and after the pilots and crewmen of Dantooine kissed goodbye to their families and loved ones, including Akira and his love Dyneh, the party departed their adopted green homeworld for the staging area in Corellian space with only five days left to save their friends and stop Outlander before it was too late.
